Jamie Clarke
Chief Executive Officer
Jamie founded Chamois in 2016 following an extensive and successful career in client-side marketing and communications. He has taken Chamois from a clean-sheet start-up to an established and reputable agency with an impressive portfolio of long-term retainer clients, all of whom are consistently extending their contracts. Jamie is proud of the fact that despite considerable growth and whilst enjoying significant levels of business, the company lifestyle ethos has been retained across the team with a “work hard – play hard” mentality firmly embedded. Having broken new ground during the early years in establishing a remote working business model, the rest of the world has now caught up and has, in places, adopted similar flexible practices.
Prior to starting Chamois, Jamie held a number of key roles including the Marketing Manager of the acclaimed defence Business, Supacat and then more latterly, the Group Head of Marketing and Communications for SC Group, providing him with a vast amount of cross-sector marketing experience in both larger and smaller company environments. With an effective and trusted crew established around him, Jamie leads the Chamois team and is responsible for senior level client interface and business development. However, he remains ‘hands on’ across the entire client portfolio.
His infectious enthusiasm, unbounded energy and inspired people skills make him a great person to work with. Not only does Jamie help deliver a first-class service to our clients but he also has a rare ability to make it fun along the way! Having graduated from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in his early 20’s, Jamie achieved the rank of Major before embarking upon his 2nd career in marketing.
Jamie has competed at national level in several sports including alpine skiing, windsurfing and superbike racing. Jamie is convinced that the qualities required for sporting success translate directly across to the business environment. He’s become famous for convening company strategy and corporate hosting days that involve being outdoors and active, often on the beach, in the mountains or at a race circuit! When things become more serious, his military training and experience have given him the ability to understand strategy, problem solve and lead in the harshest and most pressured of circumstances.
