Rick Clarke joined the Chamois team in 2022 and works part-time as our Business Manager. His role includes the management and administration of all aspects of our company accounting, event and travel management and the provision of general background administrative and organisational support to the rest of the team.

Rick brings an unconventional and varied career history to our team. As the skipper/manager of various superyachts for many years, Rick has been responsible for the complete delivery of all aspects of skippering and wider ship management, from budgeting to hosting. On one occasion, his role also included the specification and sole project management of a new build high performance sailing superyacht, on behalf of the billionaire owner. Rick has (quite literally) sailed the high seas across the globe and knows how to work hard and play hard to achieve maximum effect. Known across the world’s marinas for his mid-voyage game fishing expertise (amongst other adventures), Rick is a colourful, well-known and highly respected personality in the world of professional yachting.

Rick is an extensively qualified commercial skipper, commercial diver and an instructor in multiple water sports and winter sports. With a lifestyle that fits in perfectly with the Chamois company ethos, Rick spends most of his time onboard in various locations around the world and works for Chamois remotely. He describes himself as a “doer”; someone who will always use his flexibility, tenacity, contacts and his charm to find a way through any problem or challenge, no matter how complex or seemingly unachievable that may be.
