The Southwest, UK based Marketing and PR Agency, Chamois Consulting Ltd, has today agreed a deal to support two young British alpine ski racing hopefuls, Jamie and Sam Preston, aged 11 & 10 respectively. Under this agreement, Chamois will assist the brothers in their quest for medals at the British Childrens National Ski Racing Championships, in April 2018. As well, Chamois will assist with the provision of sponsorship acquisition, management services and PR support.
Jamie and Sam Preston are British but live permanently in the French Alps, training and racing regularly on the super-competitive French children’s circuit. The support from Chamois will allow the boys to compete at the British Childrens National Championships taking place in Tignes from 2nd to 6th April 2018. Both of the boys have the ability to aim for podium results at this event which would see them gain recognition on the UK sporting circuit. In February, the boys competed in the Welsh National Championships with considerable success; Sam becoming the Welsh Giant Slalom Champion, in his under 10 age category.
Jamie Clarke, Director and Founder at Chamois said: “we’re delighted to be able to help these two young boys out. As a child and under very similar circumstances, I came into UK ski racing as an unknown from the German childrens circuit and achieved podium results from the outset, so it’s nice for us to be putting something back in this way. Whilst they’re based in France, it’s important for Jamie and Sam to be recognised by the UK authorities as early as possible and we’re pleased to be able to help them achieve that”. He added: “my own contacts in the sport will also be of use. For example, we’ve already secured them some help from the UK importer of Dynastar and Lange ski equipment and, using our corporate sponsorship and PR management experience, we’ll be looking to generate further support”.
Jon Preston, the father of the boys said: “Jamie and Sam are very excited to be competing at the event in Tignes and we are all exceedingly grateful for the assistance and support Chamois are providing. My boys simply love ski racing so the chance to show-case their ability at the British National event is fantastic for them”. He added: “we also like the fact that the Chamois team wants to get involved beyond simply sponsoring the boys and that they will be joining us in Tignes to help coach, mentor and support Jamie and Sam”.
